Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Senior Transport Information Manager to oversee front-line information dissemination to customers and stakeholders for unplanned incidents, events, and road occupancies. You will lead a team in delivering timely, clear information and coordinate communications during crises in a dynamic, 24/7 environment.

The role is based at the Transport Management Centre in Eveleigh, NSW, with a rotating roster, penalty and overtime rates, and 5 weeks annual leave.

Qualifications

• Hands-on operational communications experience in a public-facing role.
• Ability to think strategically while remaining responsive during incidents.
• Strong judgement, decision-making in a live 24/7 operations centre.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of front-line information dissemination to customers and stakeholders regarding incidents and events.
• Lead and coordinate operational communications during crises and guide a team in delivering timely information.
• Develop customer communications strategies and partner with internal and external stakeholders.
• Deliver media management for planned and unplanned incidents through strategic messaging.
