Job summary

AECOM in Australia is seeking an experienced Project/Design Leader to join our national Building Engineering team. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams across design and project management to deliver high-quality outcomes on major projects.

You’ll work closely with clients, technical leaders and project teams to define scope, manage change and ensure design aligns with programme, budget and commercial objectives. We offer hybrid work options and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years’ experience in Building Engineering or a related field.
• Chartered status is highly regarded; strong design and project management background.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing scope and commercial aspects.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from design inception through delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, technical leaders and project teams to define scope and manage change.
• Oversee design management, interfaces, and design reviews to meet requirements and programme.
• Ensure financial governance, resourcing and risk management across the lifecycle.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders to resolve challenges and grow opportunities.
