Job summary

RAA is building a dedicated Data & AI capability to unlock its potential. As Senior Manager, Data Strategy & Architecture, you will shape how data is managed, governed and leveraged across the enterprise, building foundations for trusted analytics and AI.

You will lead Data Engineering, Data Governance and Data Science, partner with senior leaders, define the future state of data, and ensure platforms and governance enable innovation while maintaining security and compliance.

As the Senior Manager, Data Strategy & Architecture, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how RAA manages, governs and leverages data across the enterprise. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a newly established capability, developing the enterprise data strategy, establishing data governance frameworks, and creating the architectural foundations that will enable trusted analytics, artificial intelligence and better business decisions for years to come.

Leading our Data Engineering, Data Governance and Data Science functions, you'll translate strategic ambition into practical, scalable and well-governed capabilities. You'll partner closely with business and technology leaders to define the future state of data at RAA, ensuring our platforms, architecture and governance frameworks support innovation while maintaining trust, security and compliance.

This is more than a technology leadership role. It's an opportunity to define how data becomes a true enterprise capability and a strategic enabler of RAA's future.

About You

You're a strategic leader who understands that great data capabilities are built on more than technology alone. You know how to balance strategy, governance, architecture and delivery to create trusted, scalable and sustainable data environments.

You bring a strong vision for how organisations can use data as a strategic asset and have the experience to build the frameworks, platforms and practices that turn that vision into reality. You're equally comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, leading technical specialists and shaping investment decisions that drive long-term value.

We're looking for someone with:

• Significant experience leading enterprise data strategy, governance and architecture functions within complex organisations
• A proven track record establishing data management frameworks, governance models and enterprise data capabilities
• Experience developing and evolving modern data platforms, including cloud-based data environments and engineering practices
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture, information management and data governance principles
• Experience influencing senior leadership teams and embedding data as a strategic organisational capability
• A passion for creating trusted, well-governed data environments that enable analytics, AI and business innovation
• You’ll need to provide evidence of your eligibility to work in Australia and we’ll also need you to undertake a police check before you can work with us at RAA.
