TAL is seeking a Senior Underwriter in Australia to balance customer outcomes with risk, delivering clear underwriting decisions as part of the Retail Underwriting team.

You'll assess life insurance applications, manage workloads to service standards, resolve adviser enquiries, and build strong relationships with advisers and customers to support sustainable profitability and excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Solid life insurance underwriting experience across medical, financial and occupational risk.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance regulations and emerging practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work with advisers, customers and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to meet service standards.

Responsabilités

• Assess life insurance applications and deliver quality underwriting decisions balancing customer needs and risk.
• Manage underwriting workloads to achieve service standards, turnaround times and productivity targets.
• Resolve adviser enquiries and complaints to deliver positive customer and partner experiences.
• Build strong relationships with advisers, customers and stakeholders to support effective decision-making and service delivery.
