Job summary

TAL is seeking a Senior Underwriter in Australia to balance customer outcomes with risk, delivering clear underwriting decisions as part of the Retail Underwriting team.

You'll assess life insurance applications, manage workloads to service standards, resolve adviser enquiries, and build strong relationships with advisers and customers to support sustainable profitability and excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

As a Senior Underwriter, you'll play a key role in balancing customer outcomes with sound risk management, applying your expertise to support TAL's underwriting philosophy and long-term profitability. Working closely with internal teams, financial advisers, reinsurers and health specialists, you'll assess risk, make informed underwriting decisions and contribute to delivering exceptional customer and adviser experiences across our Retail Underwriting business.

In this role you will:
