Job summary

QBE Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Claims Officer to manage a portfolio of large and complex commercial property claims. This permanent, full‑time role offers hybrid work and nationwide office flexibility.

You will deliver an exceptional customer experience, build strong relationships with brokers and clients, and contribute to continuous improvement within the claims team. ISR experience is advantageous; a calm, resilient approach and solid IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have commercial property claims experience.
• ISR (Industrial Special Risks) experience advantageous but not compulsory.
• A calm and resilient approach, with the confidence to make sound decisions even under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to guide customers and stakeholders through complex situations with clarity and empathy.
• Solid computer skills, a willingness to learn new systems, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
• A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a passion for delivering excellence and embracing change.

Responsibilities

• Manage an end-to-end portfolio of commercial property claims, with support from experienced leaders.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience through clear, proactive and empathetic communication across verbal, written, and face-to-face interactions.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with brokers, customers, suppliers, and internal partners.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days look the same.
• Help drive continuous improvement across the broader claims function by applying your expertise and insights.
