Job summary

QBE Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Technical Claims Specialist in Australia. The role focuses on large and complex commercial property claims, including ISR and Business Interruption, with responsibility for coaching the team and delivering technically robust outcomes.

You will work with senior claims officers and external partners to ensure claims are assessed and managed in line with jurisdictional requirements and QBE strategy, in a hybrid setup across QBE offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience handling large and complex commercial property claims valued at $1M+.
• Proven ability to coach or lead a claims team.
• Strong technical capability in commercial property claims.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise across large and complex commercial property claims.
• Mentor Senior Claims Officers to strengthen capability.
• Manage an end-to-end portfolio of complex claims.
• Partner with customers, brokers, loss adjusters, builders and suppliers.
• Support effective claim assessment and repair outcomes.
• Coach and develop team members to build capability.
• Contribute to claims strategy and team objectives.
