Northern Peninsula Area State College is seeking a School Technical Officer to manage ICT services across our campuses, reporting to the Principal or delegate. You will support, maintain and improve school ICT operations to enhance learning opportunities for students.

Responsibilities include advising on ICT usage, providing staff training, resolving issues with servers, networks and devices, and maintaining documentation. A collaborative, customer‑focused approach is essential.

Formación

• Strong knowledge of server hardware, configuration and network peripherals.
• Solid understanding of PC desktops, laptops, iPads and printers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong client focus and ability to work in a team.
• Understanding of LANs and WANs.
• Experience using remote support tools for servers/workstations.
• Ability to research and apply creative solutions to problems.
• Good working knowledge of network security and security protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Provide advice and assistance on ICT operations within the school/college, including acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, repair and replacement.
• Support the school community with technical advice, instruction and assistance with electronic equipment, following policy and standards.
• Assist in in-service training to staff on effective ICT tool application to support educational services.
• Provide efficient support to staff and students to resolve issues with school computing facilities, maintaining high customer focus.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and repairs to ICT facilities and equipment.
• Maintain technical service records related to ICT support and infrastructure used by the school/college.
• Communicate with stakeholders on technical matters and provide advice when required.
