Job summary

Upper Coomera State College, part of the Queensland Department of Education, seeks two School Technical Officers to deliver reliable ICT services for staff and students from Prep to Year 12. You will install, maintain and support ICT facilities, equipment and networks in a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with ICT in a school or education setting.
• Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot ICT equipment and networks.
• Strong customer-service orientation with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and assistance to maximise ICT operations within the school/college, including installation, operation, maintenance, repair and replacement.
• Support staff and students with technical advice and assistance for ICT equipment according to policy and standards.
• Assist in in-service training for staff on effective application of ICT tools for education services.
• Provide timely support to resolve issues with college computing facilities while maintaining high customer focus.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and repairs on ICT facilities and equipment.
• Maintain records related to ICT support and infrastructure used by the school/college.
• Communicate with Regional and Central Support on technical matters when required.
