Job summary

Nagle Catholic College in Blacktown South, NSW, seeks a reliable School Technical Support Officer for a permanent full-time role commencing October 2026. You will support teaching and learning by delivering efficient technology services across the College, helping staff and students access the systems and equipment they rely on.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, install and maintain computers, manage user accounts, and assist with ICT projects

Qualifications

• Must have Working with Children Check clearance.
• Experience in a technical support or ICT support role, ideally within a school environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, learning platforms and antivirus tools.
• A sound understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for staff and students, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
• Assist with the setup, installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, peripherals, mobile devices and audiovisual equipment.
• Support user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
• Maintain ICT inventory, including asset tagging and accurate record keeping.
• Assist with ICT projects, upgrades and equipment deployments.
• Ensure ICT helpdesk tickets are logged, tracked and resolved promptly.
• Follow ICT policies and security protocols to protect data and systems.
• Provide basic training and guidance to staff and students on common software and systems.
