seek.com.au’s multinational client seeks a Customer Service Officer to join the Administration/Customer service team in the Chemical industry. SAP experience is essential; this is not a call centre role.

The role focuses on prompt responses to customer requests and orders, with on-site work, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Potential for permanency exists and applicants should have at least 3 years in customer service and be eligible to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years customer service experience.
• SAP experience is mandatory.
• Manufacturing industry knowledge or exposure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out customer service functions of order taking and processing and assisting customers, both internal and external with queries in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Receive phone calls and handle clients/customers questions, queries and/or problems.
• Data entry of information / sales orders.
• Generate purchase orders.
• Follow up on customer payments.
