Job summary

Club Evans RSL in Evans Head, NSW, is seeking a Duty Manager to run day-to-day operations across the venue during shifts, including the bistro, gaming floor and events, ensuring smooth service and a great member and guest experience.

You will lead by example, develop the team, manage customer enquiries, keep safety and responsible service standards, and stay calm during busy periods; RSA/RCG and a NSW Driver's Licence are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years or more experience in a club, hospitality, hotel or similar venue
• Certificate 3 in Business or Hospitality or similar experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example
• A genuine passion for customer service
• The confidence to make decisions and manage situations as they come up
• The ability to stay calm and organised when things get busy
• Current RSA/RCG
• Current NSW Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Leading, supporting and motivating the team during each shift
• Overseeing bistro, bar, gaming and general club operations
• Maintaining high standards of customer service across the venue
• Handling member and guest enquiries and resolving issues professionally
• Supporting the team through busy periods, functions and live entertainment nights
• Ensuring responsible service of alcohol and gaming requirements are met
• Completing opening and closing procedures and shift handovers
• Monitoring club presentation, cleanliness and safety standards
• Managing incidents and escalating matters where needed
• Supporting the training and development of team members
