Metcash Limited is seeking a commercially astute Commercial Manager to shape the future of our WA Food business, drive profitable growth and strengthen our independent retail network.

Working with the State Leadership team, you will connect commercial strategy, property opportunities, retailer partnerships and P&L performance to deliver sustainable results. WA-focused, senior leadership role with broad stakeholder influence.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering revenue growth and profitability.
• Experience in commercial retail, commercial property, revenue growth mgmt or related commercial discipline.
• Solid understanding of retail economics, P&L performance, commercial models and deal structuring.
• Confidence negotiating commercial agreements and influencing retailers and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly, challenge assumptions and make sound decisions in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Results-driven, independent mindset, balanced with a collaborative approach.

Responsabilités

• Drive profitable growth: Identify opportunities to grow revenue, improve margins and strengthen performance of wholesale business and independent retail network.
• Make the deals count: Structure and negotiate commercial agreements, rebates and retailer arrangements that deliver sustainable, mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Bring a retail lens: Understand retail P&Ls, assess commercial models and evaluate property and investment opportunities to support network growth and retailer success.
• Challenge the thinking: Turn data and business insights into clear recommendations, challenge assumptions and influence decisions that deliver better commercial outcomes.
• Shape strategy and performance: Partner with State leaders on business planning, budgets, forecasting and performance improvement, balancing commercial opportunity with risk and governance.
• Build strong partnerships: Work across Retail, Property, Finance, Supply Chain and other teams to unlock opportunities and turn strategy into action.
