Job summary

EVT Group, a diversified hospitality and entertainment group, is seeking a Reservations Manager for Rydges Sydney Airport. You will lead a high-performing reservations team, drive direct bookings, and manage inventory and pricing across channels to maximise occupancy and revenue.

You’ll collaborate with executive teams to develop pricing strategies, monitor KPIs, and ensure outstanding guest service across touchpoints. Strong leadership and data-driven decision making are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a reservations or similar hotel role.
• Working knowledge of hotel operating systems, such as Opera or iVvy.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team.
• Commercial acumen, with a track record of driving revenue through pricing, promotions and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to make well-considered decisions under pressure.
• A customer-first mindset and a proven ability to resolve escalated guest issues professionally.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and reporting to inform decisions.
• A resilient, organised approach with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a reservations function and turn enquiries into an exceptional guest experience.
• Drive direct bookings and room revenue, manage inventory and rates across channels.
• Collaborate with the GM, Front Office and Sales teams to deliver results above market.
• Develop and implement reservation policies, procedures and best practices.
• Responsible for group quotes, room conversions and CRM updates.
• Monitor reservation requests across phone, email, website and third-party channels.
• Manage inventory and allocations to maximise occupancy and daily revenue.
• Recruit, train and supervise a team of reservation agents with regular reviews.
• Collaborate on pricing strategies, promotions and packages to drive revenue growth.
• Analyse market trends and competitor strategies; create annual reservations strategy and budget.
• Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered across all guest touchpoints.
• Monitor and analyse reservation data and KPIs; generate regular reports.
