Job summary

Rydges Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Reservations Manager for the Sydney Airport property to lead a high-performing reservations team and maximise direct bookings and room revenue.

You will drive inventory control, pricing strategies, and collaboration with Front Office, Sales and Operations to deliver outstanding guest experiences and exceed market expectations in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a reservations or similar hotel role.
• Working knowledge of hotel operating systems such as Opera or iVvy.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team.
• Commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue through pricing, promotions and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to make well-considered decisions under pressure.
• Customer-first mindset and ability to resolve escalated guest issues professionally.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and reporting for decision making.
• Resilient, organised with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reservation policies, procedures and best practices to streamline operations.
• Responsible for group quotes, room conversions and CRM update.
• Monitor reservation requests across phone, email, website and third-party channels, ensuring guest information and preferences are accurately recorded.
• Manage inventory and room allocations to maximise occupancy and daily revenue strategy.
• Recruit, train and supervise a team of reservation agents, conducting regular performance reviews, coaching and feedback.
• Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Sales & Marketing team to develop pricing strategies, promotions and packages that drive revenue growth.
• Analyse market trends and competitor strategies, and create and maintain an annual reservations strategy, plan and budget.
• Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered across all guest touchpoints, handling escalated issues to a satisfactory resolution.
• Monitor and analyse reservation data and KPIs, generating regular reports on trends, occupancy and revenue.
• Stay across reservation management software and tools, ensuring systems are maintained and updated to optimise processes.
• Assist colleagues with additional duties as required to support overall team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Join the Rydges team and lead a high-performing reservations function that turns every enquiry into an exceptional guest experience. As Reservations Manager, you’ll drive direct bookings and room revenue, manage inventory and rates across all channels, and work closely with the GM, Front Office and Sales teams to deliver results above market.
