Job summary

Everyday Independence is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner to work with NDIS participants across Australia. You will conduct functional behaviour assessments, develop BSPs, train families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• NDIS Practitioner ID registration.
• PBSP or ABA certification.
• Experience with individuals with challenging behaviours, preferably in community or residential settings.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
• Develop and implement positive behaviour support plans tailored to the individual’s needs.
• Provide training and support to clients, families, and caregivers on how to implement the behaviour support plan.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the behaviour support plan, making adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive support to clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and behaviour incidents.
• Attend team meetings and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
