Job summary

Everyday Independence is hiring a Behaviour Support Practitioner to deliver life-changing therapy for NDIS participants. You will work across homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres, applying function-based strategies and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a tertiary qualification and registration, minimum 12 months experience, and a first-rate sense of teamwork. A driver’s license, NDIS checks, and WWC are also needed.

Qualifications

• Be deemed a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (letter required)
• Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
• Strong communication skills and be a team player
• Positive and flexible approach to work
• A valid Australian drivers license
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Working with Children Check

Responsibilities

• Work in diverse settings: homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
• Utilise assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving goals and ND funding
• Build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
• Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
• Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
• Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
• Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; support from Team Leader and Therapy Mentor
