Job summary

Metso in Brisbane is seeking an Area Sales Manager – Pumps to grow our Pumps, Cyclones, Valves and Hoses business across assigned customer sites. You will build relationships, identify opportunities and respond to RFIs and tenders.

The role partners with technical specialists, develops site growth plans, analyzes market opportunities and manages budgeting and CRM records. Regular travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, business development or customer relationship management.
• Understanding of the mining industry and customer operating environments.
• Experience identifying and developing opportunities that contribute to sales growth.
• Collaborative approach across sales, product management, technical and service teams.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive sustainable sales growth across Pumps, Cyclones, Valves and Hoses, including capital equipment and aftermarket services.
• Build strong relationships with customers and understand their operations, priorities and future needs.
• Identify and develop new sales opportunities and respond to RFQs, RFIs and tenders.
• Work with Metso technical specialists to help customers troubleshoot equipment and service challenges.
• Develop site-specific growth and aftermarket retention plans aligned with customer needs.
• Analyse market share, opportunities and competitive activity to identify growth areas.
