Job summary

MRC Global in Brisbane is seeking a highly motivated Technical Inside Sales professional to join our team. You will contribute to client success by applying technical knowledge of valves, actuation and control, and by building strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Reporting to the Team Leader - Projects, you will prepare quotations, assess margins, negotiate bids, and drive revenue growth while delivering quality service.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in technical sales with piping, fittings and valves.
• Engineering background with mechanical or structural focus.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and ability to work to deadlines.
• Experience with project and contract generation and tenders.
• Proven ability to build internal and external relationships.
• SAP or similar in-house ordering system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers' business to tailor products and solutions.
• Prepare quotations, assimilation costs, and assess margins for bids.
• Lead technical negotiations and tailor bids to customer demand.
• Coordinate with suppliers and clients; visit sites to secure bids.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate urgent matters to management.
