Job summary
Independent Living Specialists (ILS) seeks an Equipment Product Specialist to service the South West Sydney region, applying product expertise to tailor assistive technology solutions for clients in the community.
Join our Light Rehab / Home and Community Care team, focusing on education for health professionals, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets. ILS offers hybrid work options and a competitive salary with development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Background in sales or customer-facing roles; able to conduct product trials.
- Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Experience in Aged Care or Disability sector preferred.
- Ability to educate and support health professionals, clients, families.
- Empathetic, client-focused approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to meet KPIs and drive outcomes.
- Physically capable and comfortable with manual handling.
- Willing to travel within designated territory.

As part of our Light Rehab / Home and Community Care Team, you will play a vital role in helping clients achieve greater independence and improved quality of life. Drawing on your product expertise and people skills, you will provide tailored equipment solutions to deliver the best clinical outcomes while building and maintaining strong partnerships with allied health professionals, clients and carers.
- Selling Assistive Technology equipment to a wide range of clients in the community.
- Conducting informative equipment trials on our broad range of Assistive Technology products.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with allied health professionals and clients through exceptional customer service and product expertise.
- Creating new business opportunities by delivering clinical education sessions and product in-service events for both new and existing referrers.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators to drive growth and business success.
- Background in sales or customer-facing roles preferred, with confidence in conducting product trials and business development activities.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Experience in the Aged Care and/or Disability sector is highly desirable, with a genuine passion for improving client outcomes.
- Ability to provide education and support health professionals, clients, and their families, ensuring clear understanding of equipment benefits and applications.
- Empathetic and client-focused approach.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build trusted relationships.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to meet KPIs and drive positive outcomes.
- Physically capable and comfortable with manual handling to move and transport equipment for trials and demonstrations.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel within your designated territory.
- A full Australian driver’s license

- Australian citizenship or Australian permanent residency
