Job summary

Independent Living Specialists in Cairns is seeking an Equipment Product Specialist to provide tailored assistive technology solutions, drawing on product expertise and strong client engagement. You will work with the Light Rehab / Home and Community Care Team to support clients’ independence and quality of life.

You will conduct trials, educate health professionals and carers, and build lasting relationships with referring agencies while aiming to exceed sales targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or disability sector is highly desirable.
• Background in sales or customer-facing roles.
• Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

About The Role

As part of our Light Rehab / Home and Community Care Team, you will play a vital role in helping clients achieve greater independence and improved quality of life. Drawing on your product expertise and people skills, you will provide tailored equipment solutions to deliver the best clinical outcomes while building and maintaining strong partnerships with allied health professionals, clients and carers.

Your Responsibilities

• Selling Assistive Technology equipment to a wide range of clients in the community.
• Conduct informative equipment trials on our broad range of Assistive Technology products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with allied health professionals and clients through exceptional customer service and product expertise.
• Create new business opportunities by delivering clinical education sessions and product in-service events for both new and existing referrers.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators to drive growth and business success.

Required Skills

• Experience in the Aged Care and/or Disability sector is highly desirable, with a genuine passion for improving client outcomes.
• Background in sales or customer-facing roles preferred, with confidence in conducting product trials.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Ability to provide education and support health professionals, clients, and their families, ensuring clear understanding of equipment benefits and applications.
• Empathetic and client-focused approach.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build trusted relationships.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and drive positive outcomes
• Physically capable and comfortable with manual handling to move and transport equipment for trials and demonstrations.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel within your designated territory.
