Job summary

SunDoctors Skin Cancer Clinics is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead our busy North Ryde clinic. You will unite people, processes, and performance to ensure smooth operations, efficient patient care, and consistent service delivery.

This hands-on leadership role rewards strong organisational skills, a calm approach under pressure, and the ability to drive improvements in a fast-paced medical setting. A national police check is required for the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Practice Management (GP or Specialist medical environment preferred).
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and developing teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients and staff.
• Able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the North Ryde clinic's day-to-day operations and patient experience.
• Oversee doctor rosters, consult room allocations, and stock management.
• Manage Medicare claims, billing, doctor payments, and monitor KPIs.
• Act as a key point of contact for patient inquiries and ensure a smooth journey from booking to follow-up.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming clinical environment.

We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead our busy North Ryde clinic and play a key role in shaping the day‑to‑day success of our team and patient experience.

About the Role

As Practice Manager, you will be the driving force behind the clinic’s operations. You will bring together people, processes, and performance to ensure the clinic runs smoothly, efficiently, and with care at its core.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where no two days are the same — perfect for someone who enjoys responsibility, variety, and making a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach, support, and mentor our reception and administration team to deliver exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with doctors and nurses.
• Oversee daily clinic operations including doctor rosters, consult room allocations, and stock management.
• Manage Medicare claims, billing, doctor payments, and monitor KPIs to support clinic performance.
• Act as a key point of contact for patient enquiries and ensure a seamless journey from booking through to follow‑up.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that reflects SunDoctors’ high standards of care.

About You

You are a calm, organised, and approachable leader who enjoys working in a fast‑paced medical environment and building strong teams.

Experience: 2+ years in Practice Management (GP or Specialist medical environment preferred).

Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Best Practice software is a huge plus; proficiency in MS Office is a must.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team and foster a positive, collaborative culture.

Organised: You excel at balancing multiple priorities.

Communication: You can talk to anyone—from doctors and nurses to anxious patients.
