Job summary

Coolamon Shire Council is seeking a Plant Operator to assist with maintaining roads, footpaths, drainage and recreational assets. A pre-employment medical including drug/alcohol and audiometry is required.

Essential qualifications include a White Card and MR unrestricted Licence; HR/HC licence and Traffic Controllers Certificate are desirable. A Certificate III in Civil Construction or commitment to start within 6 months is preferred. Band 1, Level 3, weekly pay.

• Current MR unrestricted Driver Licence (Essential)
• Current HR or HC unrestricted Driver Licence (Desirable)
• Traffic Controllers Certificate - Implement Traffic Control Plans (Desirable)
• Certificate III in Civil Construction or willingness to commence within the first 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance of roads, footpaths, drainage and recreational assets.
• Support infrastructure upkeep as part of Council operations.

Job description

Coolamon Shire Council are currently seeking applications from suitably skilled people for the position of Plant Operator.

This role will be to assist with the maintenance of Councils infrastructure including roads, footpaths, drainage and recreational assets.

All employees of Council are required to undertake a pre-employment medical which will include drug and alcohol, audiometry and physical factors.

To be successful in this role applicants should have:

Current OH&S Construction Induction Certificate (White card - Essential).

Current MR unrestricted Drivers Licence (Essential).

Current HR or HC unrestricted Drivers Licence (Desirable)

Traffic Controllers Certificate - Implement Traffic Control Plans (Desirable).

Certificate III in Civil Construction or willingness to commence within the first 6 months of employment.

Salary range for this position is Band 1, Level 3, A-H ( $1,118.30 to $1265.55 per week) dependent on qualifications and experience.
