Job summary

Southern Grampians Shire Council is seeking a full-time Plant Operator based at the Coleraine Depot. The role covers outdoor civil maintenance, including truck driving, road upkeep, tree trimming and assisting with road construction projects.

You will work across varied tasks, sometimes independently, in a supportive team focused on maintaining local roads and community infrastructure. A Heavy Rigid licence is desirable and safety is a top priority.

Qualifications

• Experience in outdoor civil maintenance.
• Ability to drive trucks and operate roadside equipment.
• Strong safety awareness and OHS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist with truck driving and road maintenance.
• Participate in bitumen and gravel road upkeep.
• Maintain verges and perform tree trimming.
• Support road construction projects as required.

Band 3- $34.76 - $37.20 excluding superannuation and allowances

An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Plant Operator based at the Coleraine Depot.

This hands-on role will see you working across a variety of outdoor and civil maintenance activities, including truck driving, bitumen and gravel road maintenance, tree trimming, roadside slashing, and assisting with road construction projects.

You’ll be part of a supportive team working to maintain and improve our local road network and community infrastructure, while also having the ability to work independently when required.

A Heavy Rigid (HR) licence is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to workplace safety and a sound understanding of OHS policies and procedures.
