Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to deliver safe, practical underground mine designs and 13-week schedules that align with production targets. You will work closely with operational stakeholders to ensure safety, environmental, and technical standards are met, while contributing to short- and medium-term planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
Proficiency in Deswik (CAD, UGDB, Sched) and Microsoft Office.
Completed underground time.
Current unrestricted WA C-Class Driver's Licence.
National Police Clearance (within 12 months).
First Class Mine Manager's Certificate highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Develop safe and practical underground mine designs, including development layouts, stopes, Mini-DAF/DAF designs, and level extraction plans.
Prepare and maintain 13-week mine schedules aligned with production and operational requirements.
Review drill and blast plans to ensure safe and effective execution.
Ensure designs comply with geotechnical requirements, the GCMP, and ventilation planning standards.
Support a strong safety culture through risk assessments, inspections, incident investigations, and compliance activities.
Maintain planning systems and databases, including Deswik and LiveMine, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Identify and communicate critical path activities across plans, forecasts, and budgets.

Reporting to the Senior Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering safe, practical mine designs and schedules that support underground performance and production targets. Working closely with operational stakeholders, you'll contribute to short and medium-term planning while ensuring compliance with site safety, environmental, and technical standards.
