Job summary

Sawtell Catholic Care in NSW is seeking a Casual Personal Carer to support residents with daily living, mobility assistance, and person-centred care. You will work with the lifestyle team to promote engagement and comfort in a respectful, compassionate environment.

Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support and experience in aged care are preferred; dementia experience is advantageous. This casual role offers 12% super, salary sacrifice options, and ongoing learning and development

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support.
• Previous work experience as a care professional in an aged care environment.
• Experience in dementia care will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking tasks to support daily living for our residents
• Assist with mobilisation using appropriate equipment
• Provide support for residents with cognitive impairment and apply behaviour management strategies as per care plans
• Support meal services in line with identified resident needs
• Assist the lifestyles team when needed to promote programs that encourage social engagement and movement activities
• Previous experience in a similar position will be highly regarded.
