Job summary

Bethsalem Care in Australia is seeking a Personal Care Worker to support residents to live with dignity, independence and choice. You will work with a clinical team to deliver high-quality personal care and assist with daily living activities in a welcoming environment.

You will contribute to meaningful relationships with residents, while upholding the values of care, respect, love and integrity in a not-for-profit aged care setting. Training and career development are provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or Individual Support (Ageing) or Bachelor of Nursing.
• Genuine passion for supporting older people to live with dignity, independence and choice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and respectful approach.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Current NDIS Worker Check.
• Availability to work across a 24/7 roster.
• Commitment to person-centred care and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Understanding of Aged Care Standards, Code of Conduct, ANACC, SIRS.
• Basic computer skills.
• Commitment to continuous skills development.
• Ability to demonstrate Bethsalem Care values.

About You

You have a passion for working with people who are ageing and genuinely enjoy providing support in a residential aged care facility.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• One of the following:
  • A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or Individual Support - Ageing).
  • Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing degree.
• A genuine passion for supporting older people to live with dignity, independence and choice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and respectful approach.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• A current NDIS Worker Check.
• Availability to work across a 24/7 roster.
• A commitment to providing person-centred care and working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic understanding of the Revised Aged Care Standards, The Aged Care Code of Conduct, Australian National Aged Care Classification Tool (ANACC), The Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS)
