Job summary

Respect seeks a compassionate Personal Care Assistant for casual shifts in our aged care residence. You will deliver person-centred care, assisting residents with daily activities, meals, mobility, and social engagement while building meaningful relationships with residents and families.

The role requires flexibility to work AM, PM, Nights and weekends, with a supportive team and opportunities for career development in aged care.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification).
• Current National Police Certificate and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable and committed, with a genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care.
• Experience in residential aged care is highly desirable.
• Meet the legislative requirements for Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.

• Deliver high-quality personal care, supporting residents with daily activities while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Assist with meals, feeding, grooming, hygiene, mobility, and light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide companionship and encourage social and emotional engagement.
• Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any changes promptly, and help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
• Work collaboratively with the team, communicating effectively and maintaining accurate, confidential care records.
