Job summary

Carinity Cedarbrook on the Gold Coast seeks Personal Carers to support elderly residents with dignity and independence. You will work under registered staff to meet individual care needs in a homelike setting, joining a compassionate team focused on daily living activities, dining, social interaction and companionship.

Availability is required Monday to Sunday, with morning, afternoon and night shifts. Eligibility includes Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support and current NDIS

Qualifications

• Must have highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work as a team member within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support or equivalent qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support elderly residents under direction of registered staff to meet individual care needs.
• Participate in daily activities including personal care, meals, and companionship.
• Provide care in a homelike environment with dignity and independence for residents.

About the role:

Personal Carers work under the direction of theregistered staff to meet the individual care needs of residents inan effective and holistic manner, ensuring a high standard ofliving is maintained in a pleasant, homelike environment with agenuine interest in caring for the elderly, supporting theirdignity and independence.

You will support customers with a variety of activities in theirdaily lifestyle routines including home/room cleaning and clothing,food and dining experiences, social interaction and companionship,lifestyle interests and reminiscence.

Availability is required Monday to Sunday, workingmorning, afternoon, and night shifts.

What do you need for the role?

• Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (Ageing)or appropriate qualifications and experience
• Minimum 1 year experience in Aged Care
• Willingness to work as a team member, relating to amulti-disciplinary team
• Highly developed verbal and written communicationskills
• Previous experience in a similar role is highlyadvantageous
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Full working rights in Australia
