Sawtell Catholic Care in NSW is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide clinical care to residents at Mater Christi and to lead the Enrolled Nurse and Personal Care teams. You will deliver holistic, person-centred care and work across morning, evening and night shifts.

The role requires APHRA registration, strong clinical knowledge in aged care and dementia care, knowledge of accreditation standards, and front-line leadership.

Qualifikationen

• APHR A registration required as Registered Nurse
• Experience in residential aged care and dementia care preferred
• Understanding of accreditation standards and AN-ACC
• Front-line leadership skills
• Available to work morning, evening and night shifts
• Well-developed interpersonal skills

Aufgaben

• Provide leadership and direction for the clinical and care teams
• Plan, delegate and follow up on resident care during each shift
• Lead and coach the team to improve performance
• Complete and maintain comprehensive resident assessments and care plans
• Deliver a range of nursing care services including medication and pain management
• Liaise with residents, families, GPs and other health care providers
• Comply with Accreditation Standards and governance policies

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide clinical care to our residents and leadership and guidance to our Enrolled Nurse and Personal Care teams within Mater Christi. This care of our residents is provided as part of a holistic, person-centred care model that takes account of residents’ needs, whether physical, emotional, social or spiritual.

What We Need from You:

Current Registration with APHRA as a Registered Nurse

Sound clinical knowledge and experience, preferably in residential aged care and dementia care

A good understanding of accreditation standards and AN-ACC

Demonstrated front-line leadership skills

Available to work morning, evening and night shifts

Well-developed interpersonal skills

The requirements for this role are outlined in the position description & include:

Provide leadership and direction for the team of clinical and care staff

Plan, delegate and follow up on resident care and related activities based on identified resident needs during each shift

Lead and improve overall team performance through coaching and on the job feedback

Complete and maintain comprehensive individual assessments and care plans for residents that reflect a holistic, person-centred approach

Provide a range of clinical care services to deliver effective medication management, pain management, skin care and specialised nursing care as required

Liaison with key stakeholders including residents, families, GP’s and other health care providers

Comply with the Accreditation Standards and clinical governance policies and procedures

Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) qualification will be highly regarded but not essential

Previous experience in a similar position will be highly regarded.
