Job summary

PresCare Alexandra Gardens in the Rockhampton region seeks a Personal Care Worker to deliver person-centred care and support residents across Night Duty and PM shifts. You will engage with residents and families to foster dignity and wellbeing while following care plans.

Role requires a Cert III in Aged Care (or currently studying), NDIS worker clearance, and Australian working rights. Strong communication and empathy are essential for this collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent (or currently studying).
• NDIS Worker Clearance (mandatory).
• Valid working rights in Australia (mandatory).
• Experience in providing personal care in aged care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in accordance with the agreed Care Plan.
• Provide personal hygiene tasks, mobility support, and continence care.
• Support eating, drinking, and dietary needs, including skin care.
• Assist with mobility using aids and falls prevention.

Your Role

As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive resident experience in providing a person-centred approach to care. You will foster a collaborative approach in supporting our residents with all aspects of their daily needs and emotional wellbeing, essentially creating what we believe will enable older people to live their best lives.

Duties Include

• Care and services are delivered in accordance with the agreed Care Plan.
• Personal care, including but not limited to: Personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral and dental care and continence care.
• Mobility, including using aids and falls prevention.
• Eating and drinking, including awareness of special dietary requirements.
• Basic skin care including repositioning and application of skin creams.

We currently have a few permanent part-time opportunities available across Night Duty and PM shifts.

To be successful you will need:

• A Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent (or currently studying) - MANDATORY
• NDIS Worker Clearance - MANDATORY https://workerscreening.dsdsatsip.qld.gov.au/
• Valid working rights in Australia - MANDATORY
• Experience in providing personal care in an aged care setting
• A passion for delivering a person-centred approach to care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
