Job summary

Respect is Australia’s Regional leader in aged care and invites a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join the Jallarah home in a casual capacity. You will provide high-quality personal care, support meals, mobility, and social engagement while building meaningful relationships with residents and the team.

Requirements include a Certificate III in Individual Support, current police check and NDIS screening, strong communication, reliability, and prior aged care experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Current National Police Certificate and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable and committed, with a genuine passion for high-quality, person-centred care.
• Experience in residential aged care is highly desirable.
• Meets legislative requirements for Aged Care Worker Screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality personal care, supporting residents with daily activities while promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Assist with meals, feeding, grooming, hygiene, mobility and light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and encourage social and emotional engagement.
• Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, report changes promptly, maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Work collaboratively with the team, communicating effectively and maintaining confidential care records.

Jallarah offers 29 private rooms with ensuites, daily meals and 24-hour personal care support. Residents can personalise their rooms to feel like home, with electric beds provided for comfort. This is a casual position requiring flexibility to work AM, PM, Nights and weekend shifts.
