Job summary

Bethsalem Care, located in Adelaide, is seeking a Personal Care Worker to support residents with dignity, independence and daily living activities. You’ll work alongside a dedicated clinical team to deliver high-quality personal care and help create a warm, welcoming environment where residents can age well.

A genuine passion for ageing well, strong communication and organisational skills are essential, with availability across a 24/7 roster and commitment to person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or Individual Support (Ageing).
• Bachelor of Nursing in progress is acceptable.
• Passion for supporting older people with dignity and independence.

As a Personal Care Worker, you'll play an important role in supporting residents to live with dignity, independence and choice. About You

You have a passion for working with people who are ageing and genuinely enjoy providing support in a residential aged care facility.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• One of the following:
  • A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or Individual Support – Ageing).
  • Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing degree.
• A genuine passion for supporting older people to live with dignity, independence and choice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and respectful approach.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• A current NDIS Worker Check.
• Availability to work across a 24/7 roster.
• A commitment to providing person-centred care and working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic understanding of the Revised Aged Care Standards, The Aged Care Code of Conduct, Australian National Aged Care Classification Tool (ANACC), The Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS)
• Basic computer skills
