Job summary

The Client Services Officer (CSO) at Funds in Court supports the Court Services Victoria mission in Melbourne. The CSO serves as the main day-to-day contact for clients under disability, their carers, and family, assisting with requests to access funds for daily needs or major purchases, under direction from judicial officers.

Key duties include managing client portfolios, researching and briefing memoranda for Senior Master and other judges, escalating complex issues, and meeting clients

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the listed Acts and standards affecting funds in Court for persons under disability.
• Ability to have difficult conversations with sensitivity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients with awards up to several million dollars.
• Submit well-researched memoranda and recommendations to judicial officers.
• Identify and escalate complex client issues to senior staff.
• Coordinate initial meetings with clients and external stakeholders.
