Job summary

Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Australia is seeking a part-time Customer Banking Specialist for our Northpark Shopping Centre branch. The role focuses on building relationships, guiding customers through digital banking options, and processing personal loan and credit card applications.

You will work with the Branch Manager and team to deliver outstanding customer outcomes, refer complex cases to specialists, and engage in community activities while upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to ask the right questions and find the right solutions, acting with integrity and placing the customer at the centre of everything you do
• Passion for service excellence and ability to work independently while referring customers to specialists when needed
• Experience working in a busy retail environment with a customer-centric approach
• Willingness to engage with the community and support branch team safety and wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Build a personal connection with customers through meaningful conversations
• Help customers use in-branch technology and digital banking options
• Address and respond to customers’ transactional needs in the branch, ensuring satisfaction on departure
• Perform interviews and process applications for personal loans, credit cards and related products
• Proactively call customers to build rapport and invite them to the branch for a Financial Health Check or a specialist appointment
• Adhere to bank processes and procedures, including reconciling transactions and reviewing customers’ financial positions
• Engage with customers by participating in community events and fundraising activities
• Look out for the safety and wellbeing of the team and colleagues to maintain a secure branch environment
