Job summary

TeamKids is hiring Casual Educators to support Before and After School Care in Melbourne’s Inner North with shifts in the morning and afternoon and optional holiday blocks.

Role involves engaging children aged 5–12, delivering activities, and ensuring safety. Applicants should have a Cert III or Diploma in an ACECQA approved course, WWCC, and complete child safety training prior to start. Flexible shifts and opportunities for development are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to grow in before/after school care.
• Strong communication with children, parents and colleagues.
• Team oriented with a positive, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in before and after school care programs.
• Engage children with age-appropriate activities and excursions.

The Role - Casual Educator

This is a role where no two days are the same! Work closely with a supportive team to gain valuable experience in the OSHC space and make a real difference in children's lives.

Location: Reservoir, Preston, Brunswick, Ivanhoe and surrounding suburbs

Shifts Available Between

• 7:00am-9:00am (Before School Care)
• 2:30pm-6:30pm (After School Care)
• Optional 6-8 hour shifts during school holidays

About You

• Ideally has previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can help you grow your skills!
• Passionate working with children and seeing them thrive
• Is involved, fun, a team player and ready to jump in
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues

You’ll Need (or Be Willing To Get)

• Has a Cert III or Diploma in an ACECQA approved course (or be working towards it) - Visit acecqa.gov.au to learn more about approved qualifications
• Working with Children Check that is relevant to your state (WWCC,WWVP, Blue card, VIT)
• As part of TeamKids' commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids.
