Job summary

TeamKids, Australia's leading OSHC provider, is hiring a Casual Educator for Inner South (St Kilda, Port Melbourne and surrounds). You’ll join a team of educators delivering engaging before and after school programs, with optional holiday shifts and flexible rosters.

Ideally you have experience in OSHC or education, a passion for kids, and strong communication with children, parents and colleagues. WWCC/Blue Card and a Cert III or Diploma are preferred; training on child safety is provided.

Qualifications

• Background in Before/After School Care or education preferred.

• Team player and proactive in group settings.
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support daily OSHC activities and excursions.
• Engage children aged 5–12 through play and learning activities.
• Cover Before and After School Care shifts as needed.

Who is TeamKids?

TeamKids is the premium provider of Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) throughout Australia. We exist to excite, engage and entertain children before school, after school and throughout school holidays.

The Role - Casual Educator

This is a role where no two days are the same! Work closely with a supportive team to gain valuable experience in the OSHC space and make a real difference in children's lives.

Location: St Kilda, Port Melbourne and surrounding suburbs

Shifts available between:

• 7:00am–9:00am (Before School Care)
• 2:30pm–6:30pm (After School Care)
• Optional 6–8 hour shifts during school holidays

About You

• Ideally has previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can help you grow your skills!
• Passionate working with children and seeing them thrive
• Is involved, fun, a team player and ready to jump in
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues

You’ll need (or be willing to get):

• Working with Children Check that is relevant to your state (WWCC,WWVP, Blue card, VIT)
• Has a Cert III or Diploma in an ACECQA approved course (or be working towards it) - Visit acecqa.gov.au to learn more about approved qualifications
• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids.
