Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Rockhampton QLD is seeking a permanent AO3 Operations Support Officer on a part-time basis to support Connected communities in Queensland. The successful candidate will work in a small team, liaising with stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and deliver frontline customer service, information, advice and complaints handling.

The role administers passenger transport products, assesses applications under delegated authority, supports STAS

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a small team and liaising with a range of stakeholders to ensure the efficient operations of the unit.
• Delivering frontline customer service including investigating complaints and providing information and advice to customers and stakeholders.
• Administering a range of passenger transport products, including exercising delegated authority to assess applications and determine outcomes in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and procedures.
• Supporting the delivery of school transport services, including administering the School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS).
• Assisting with performance monitoring of service contracts and accreditations.
• Maintaining your knowledge and understanding of procedural and legislative guidelines.
