Job summary

Unisys is seeking a Field Engineer to install, repair and maintain product hardware and software at customer sites across Australia. You will ensure systems operate as designed and collaborate with technical colleagues to deliver timely service.

The role involves scheduling services, completing administration, and communicating effectively to ensure customer satisfaction with product functionality and SLA targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in desktop, laptop, server and network support.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, hardware, peripherals and AV systems.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
• Experience working within SLA-driven support environments.
• Relevant IT certifications are a plus.
• Australian Citizen is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, servers, and peripherals.
• Act as the primary Field Engineer for assigned clients, products, and service desks/kiosks.
• Support desktop, laptop, server, networking, and AV room technologies.
• Perform system installations, upgrades, moves, adds, and changes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure optimal system performance.
• Test and certify IT equipment, networks, and approved applications.
• Manage issue resolution, escalations, and customer follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and administrative records.
• Deliver professional customer service and consistently meet SLA targets.
