Job summary

Unisys is seeking a Field Engineer to deliver onsite and remote technical support across IT infrastructure, end-user computing and networking environments in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. You will be the technical representative ensuring installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and high levels of customer satisfaction.

The role requires 1–2 years in IT support or related fields, strong Windows and networking knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years IT support, field services or related role.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, desktop/laptop hardware, networking basics, peripherals.
• Experience with enterprise clients and SLA-driven environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, servers, and network infrastructure.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, peripherals, and networked equipment.
• Perform onsite and remote incident resolution, service requests, preventative maintenance, and system health checks.
• Execute installations, relocations, upgrades, additions, and changes to IT equipment per client requirements.
• Test, validate, and certify hardware, networks, systems, and business applications for readiness and compliance.
• Support network and infrastructure environments with proactive maintenance and issue resolution within SLAs.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, asset records and ticket updates.
