Job summary

Unisys is seeking a Sr Tech Field Engineer to provide expert onsite technical support across Australia from Canberra. You will install, repair, and maintain hardware/software, manage server/storage break-fix tasks, and ensure service excellence for large client environments.

The role requires hands-on field engineering experience, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication. A Baseline Australian Security Clearance is mandatory, with a focus on delivering reliable, customer‑facing

Qualifications

Hands-on field engineering and onsite support experience across client environments.
Ability to diagnose and repair hardware/software issues at customer sites.
Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to work with a broader technical team.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain hardware and software at client sites.
Perform server and storage break-fix support and preventive maintenance.
Manage onsite service activities from start to finish with timely resolution.
Conduct installations, upgrades, and system maintenance in customer environments.
Use diagnostic tools to resolve complex technical challenges.
Provide guidance to fellow engineers and team members.
Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
Maintain documentation and service records.
Build strong customer relationships through delivery and communication.
