Job summary

Brand Influence Group (BIG) is seeking a Merchandiser to manage Newcastle West territory, building displays, replenishment, and promotions while ensuring store standards.

This casual role covers 15 hours per week, Tue-Fri availability is essential, and requires a driver’s license and car. Strong communication and autonomous work style are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Current Australian driver’s license and vehicle.
• Experience in supermarket/retail, pharmacy or liquor is desirable.
• Strong, friendly communication, organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to perform physical and repetitive requirements of the role.

Responsibilities

• Drive strong relationships with store personnel.
• Build and maintain quality displays in store and execute planograms.
• Negotiate promotional space in-store.
• Submit tasks and quality photos daily via smartphone/tablet.
• Represent BIG and our clients professionally.
• Safely perform physical requirements including standing, walking, bending, lifting and repetitive movements.

Job description

As a BIG Merchandiser, you will manage an allocated territory, fostering relationships with key retailers. In this ongoing casual role, you’ll ensure operational excellence through precise task execution - covering everything from replenishment and ticketing to display builds, compliance audits, new product launches and more.

About The Role

Territory: NEWCASTLE WEST and surrounds (Suburbs may include, but are not limited to Hamilton, Newcastle, Newcastle West, New Lambton, The Junction and Waratah)

Hours: Average of 15 hours per week based on business needs (no guaranteed minimum hrs)

Availability: Tuesday to Friday availability is essential

Essential: Driver license and car

Key Responsibilities

• Driving strong relationships with store personnel
• Building and maintaining quality displays in store
• Negotiating promotional space
• Executing planograms
• Submit tasks & quality photos daily via smartphone/tablet
• Represent BIG and our clients positively and professionally
• Safely performing the physical requirements, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements.

Successful candidate will need:

• Supermarket, retail, pharmacy or liquor experience is highly desirable
• A current Australian driver’s licence and vehicle
• Strong & friendly communication, organisational skills and attention to detail
• An ability to work autonomously
• Ability to perform the physical & repetitive requirements of the role
