Qualifications

• Experience in transport and logistics, preferably in operations, scheduling or allocation.
• Knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law, Chain of Responsibility and Fatigue Management requirements.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers, drivers and colleagues.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate freight to maximise fleet utilisation while maintaining safety and compliance.
• Coordinate daily transport activities with customers and drivers.
• Monitor and manage driver compliance with CoR, Fatigue Management and AFM requirements.
• Respond to operational changes and customer priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Plan and roster to meet operational requirements.

LOGISTICS PLANNER/FREIGHT ALLOCATION - DAY SHIFT

About the Role

Permanent full time position working a roster of Sunday to Thursday, start time 6.00am to finish.

As a logistics planner you will play a key role in coordinating our refrigerated fleet, ensuring freight is delivered safely, effectively and on time while providing exceptional services to our customers.

You will be responsibilities will include:

• Planning and allocating freight to maximise fleet utilisation while maintaining safety and compliance
• Coordinating daily transport activities with customers and drivers
• Monitoring and managing driver compliance with Standard Hours, BFM and AFM requirements
• Responding to operational changes and customer priorities in a fast paced environment
• Planning and rostering to meet operational requirements
• Supervising and supporting drivers
• Ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Fatigue Management and Company procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience within the transport and logistics industry, ideally in an operations, scheduling or allocation role.
• A sound understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law, Chain of Responsibility and Fatigue Management requirements.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers, drivers and colleagues.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

The following will be highly regarded

• Operations Schedulers Certification (TLIF0006) or a willingness to obtain.
• Experience within refrigerated, FMCG or palletised freight operations.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations.
