Job summary

Northline is seeking a Fleet Allocator / Controller in Sunshine West, VIC to coordinate daily pickup and delivery, optimise fleet use, and ensure on-time, safe performance for customers.

You will plan daily runs with Orcoda, coordinate drivers, monitor KPIs, and uphold DG and fatigue-management standards. Strong communication and proactive problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet allocation, dispatch, or scheduling.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and make decisions in fast-moving environments.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with transport management, dispatch or scheduling systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of NHVR Fatigue Management, Basic Fatigue Management (BFM), Load Restraint Guidelines, and Dangerous Goods requirements is highly regarded.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily pick-up and delivery runs using Orcoda to maximise fleet utilisation and service performance.
• Coordinate drivers and allocating work effectively to ensure freight is loaded, delivered, and collected safely and on time.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers and operational teams throughout the day.
• Monitor compliance with Dangerous Goods requirements, Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management regulations, and safety standards.
• Track and report on operational KPIs, including missed pick-ups, delivery performance, and fleet efficiency.
• Manage service disruptions and operational challenges by implementing timely solutions.
• Coordinate priority freight and special delivery requests as required.
• Ensure fleet presentation, load restraint compliance, and vehicle safety standards are maintained.

What You'll Be Doing
