Job summary

Sharp and Carter in Melbourne seeks an AM Fleet Allocator to co-allocate a fleet of around 50 drivers daily, rising to 60 in peak, across LTL and FTL networks. You will monitor live operations, resolve issues, and ensure DIFOT and compliance.

This hands-on role offers direct training from the Transport Manager, a 3am start, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend cover and clear ownership of daily operations.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years' experience in refrigerated transport allocation.
  • LTL and FTL planning experience is highly regarded.
  • Solid knowledge of CoR, NHVAS and transport compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Co-allocate around 50 drivers daily, up to 60 in peak.
  • Plan and allocate LTL and FTL fleet operations.
  • Own DIFOT and overtime performance on your shift.
  • Monitor live operations and resolve service issues in real time.
  • Coordinate with drivers, warehouse teams and customers.

Our client is a leading provider of refrigerated transport and cold storage across Australia, partnering with some of the country's best known food and beverage brands. Due to continued demand, they are seeking an experienced AM Fleet Allocator to join their Victorian Operations team in Melbourne. This is a hands-on role where you will co-allocate a fleet of around 50 drivers daily, rising to 60 in peak, across LTL and FTL networks. It's a fast-paced, phone-on environment suited to someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys being at the centre of the action.

What you will be doing
  • Co-allocate around 50 drivers daily, up to 60 in peak
  • Plan and allocate LTL and FTL fleet operations
  • Own DIFOT and overtime performance on your shift
  • Monitor live operations and proactively resolve service issues
  • Coordinate with drivers, warehouse teams and customers
  • Ensure CoR, Fatigue and Mass Management compliance
  • Validate load plans, manifests and run sheets before dispatch
  • Manage subcontractor usage to control costs
  • Deliver a smooth handover to the PM Allocation team
  • Support and coach new drivers and team members

  • Experience using a TMS and Microsoft Office
