Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a proactive Transport Operations & Customer Service Coordinator in Sydney to join its team. You will coordinate customer service delivery, manage bookings, support drivers and subcontractors, and help ensure on-time freight movements.

This role suits someone with transport logistics experience, strong communication, and a detail-oriented, proactive problem-solving approach. You will work Monday to Friday with opportunities for development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, freight or logistics with a focus on customer service or operations coordination.
• Solid understanding of transport and logistics terminology and processes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities with multitasking capability.
• Proficient using TMS, WMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries regarding freight tracking, ETAs, schedules and requests.
• Manage customer bookings, account enquiries, complaints and service-related matters.
• Coordinate communication between customers, drivers, allocators, subcontractors and depot personnel.
• Monitor freight movements, identify delays, missed pickups and service issues, and coordinate resolutions.
• Support transport operations by communicating requirements and priority freight movements.
• Provide administrative support including data entry, document management, and record keeping.
• Manage pallet transfers (CHEP/LOSCAM) and investigate discrepancies.
