Job summary

Leopold Primary School is seeking a Learning Specialist who will spend most time in the classroom delivering high-quality teaching and learning. You will mentor and coach teachers, conduct demonstration lessons, and lead school-wide professional learning to strengthen curriculum delivery.

You will collaborate with school leaders, parents, and the community to improve student achievement, engagement and wellbeing, while modelling the department values and reflective practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in modelling high quality teaching and learning.
• Ability to mentor and coach teachers through demonstration lessons and feedback.
• Capacity to use student data to inform practice and improve learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating high-level teaching expertise and classroom practice.
• Conducting teaching demonstration lessons and providing feedback to staff.
• Collaborating with leadership to share effective instructional practices.
• Leading whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum delivery.
• Developing professional learning processes and observation protocols.
• Modeling data-informed teaching and supporting staff in using data.
