Qualifications

• SC1: Expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching across literacy and numeracy.
• SC2: Expertise in high impact teaching strategies and evaluating impact on student growth.
• SC3: Ability to monitor and assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents.
• SC4: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, families and community.
• SC5: Model behaviours aligned with Department values and support school-based professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-level teaching practice and deliver demonstration lessons.
• Model exemplary classroom practice and mentor teachers.
• Collaborate with leadership to define effective teaching practices.
• Lead and model whole-school improvement strategies in curriculum delivery.
• Support professional learning through observation, feedback and peer collaboration.
• Provide evidence-based feedback to staff to inform development.
• Offer expert advice on professional learning contexts and strategies.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers and coaching peers.
