Job summary

Octopus Australia is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to strengthen our electrical capabilities across utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage projects in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

You will shape electrical engineering standards, guide commercial decisions, and mentor colleagues while delivering across pre-acquisition through to operations on a multi-project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated electrical engineering experience (7-10 yrs) on Australian utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Experience with EPC/owners engineer environments and pre/post-financial close phases.
• Familiarity with HV/MV systems, grid connection, and construction delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical scope from pre-DOC through to operations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members.
• Coordinate design reviews, site inspections, and workshops.
• Manage interfaces with civil, grid, SCADA, and asset teams; ensure risk management.
