Octopus Australia is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to lead electrical scope across multiple renewables projects in Australia. You will shape electrical engineering standards, manage budget, scope, and schedules, and provide technical leadership across grid connection, HV/MV systems, and BESS/solar/wind assets.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical engineering experience on Australian utility-scale renewables.
• Experience with EPC/owners engineer roles across pre- and post-financial close.
• Site construction exposure and contractor management.
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV power systems and grid-connected delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own scope, budget, schedule, HSE, risks, and quality for electrical workstreams across projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring; develop templates and governance for HV/MV systems.
• Contribute to tender strategies, documentation, and contract negotiations.
• Manage OEM/contractor performance from design through construction and handover.
• Prepare and review SLDs, diagrams, BOMs, specs, and construction docs.
• Review submissions, RFIs, variations, and punch-list resolutions.
• Coordinate design reviews, site inspections, and technical workshops.
